Rockets Add Loss to Arrows Spotless Record
The Rockets had a big night offensively scoring 34 points in a big win over Ashby. The defense also came up big forcing 5 Ashby turnovers (4 fumbles, 1 interception). They also held Ashby's Jon Quernemoen to 26 yards rushing and allowed only 7 total first downs.
Underwood scored quickly in the first quarter on a 19-yard run by Allen Peyerl with A.J. Montgomery tacking on the 2-point conversion.
The second quarter was dominated by the Rockets, with Kyle Jensen scoring three times on runs of one, three, and four yards out. Peyerl added one 2-point conversion, making the Underwood lead 28-0 at half.
Quernemoen scored the Arrow's only points on a 63-yard run after catching a screen pass with 3:09 left in the third quarter. Jensen didn't waste any time scoring his fourth TD of the game on a 9-yard run to cap off the scoring.
The Rockets ran the ball for 300 yards and dominated the time of possession, having the ball 34 of the 48 minutes of the game.
Tony Onstad led the defense with 7 tackles, Jensen had 5.5 tackles, and Noah Rocholl had 5 tackles. Chase Collins also intercepted a pass.
The Rockets take their spotless conference record into Eagle Valley next week to face off against an undefeated Rebels team.
