| Moorhead junior Cory Loos scored the winning-goal, at 1:43 of overtime, to give the Spuds a 4-3 victory against the Elk River Elks. The entire game was close with the teams alternating scoring. Junior Matt Becker led the Spuds with two goals. Moorhead had 29 shots on goal, including 12 in the third period, while holding Elk River to only 10 throughout all three periods. With the victory, Moorhead will advance to the semifinal round and will meet the winner of the Lakeville vs. Duluth East game. |
