| For the first time in school history, the Centennial Cougars will play for the Class AA State Boys' Hockey Title. The Cougars earned the trip after they defeated the Wayzata Trojans, 3-0, in semifinal action. The first two goals of the game came off the stick of Centennial's Tim Ornell. The senior had a goal in both the first and second period. The Cougars added a third goal to their resume with a goal from senior Ben Ollila with two minutes remaining in the second period. With 38 shots on goal, Centennial had more than twice Wayzata's attempts. |
