By Howard  Voigt
A nail-biter until the last second, the Breck Mustangs defeated the South St. Paul Packers, 3-2, to advance to the Class A title game. After two penalty-free and scoreless periods, Breck junior Jordan Fulton scored, shorthanded, the first goal of the game at 5:48 of the third period. Teammate Dustin Fulton scored at 10:19 to give Breck a two-goal advantage. With less than four minutes to play, junior Jeff Miller netted the first Packers goal. On a powerplay, with 1:55 left in regulation, South St. Paul senior Nick Stalock tied the game. Forty-three seconds later, Breck junior Robbie Dee scored to give the Mustangs the one-goal advantage they needed to win the game. The Packer's goaltender, junior Alex Stalock, had an outstanding game stopping 41 pucks in the three periods. With the win, the Mustangs will advance to the championship round.
