| With twenty-six seconds remaining in the first overtime, Hibbing senior Drew Walters scored, his third goal of the tournament, to give the Bluejackets a 4-3 victory of South St. Paul and earn third-place honors. The Bluejackets were on the board first with a first period goal from junior Derek Lundquist. Second period goals, from juniors Shea Walters and Chris Modrich, gave the Bluejackets a 3-0 edge going into the lockerroom. South St. Paul senior Nick Stalock, junior Brett Crowe and senior Chris Meyers each had a goal in the third period to send the game into overtime. With the win, Hibbing ended their season with a 13-15-1 record. South St. Paul had a 23-7-1 season-ending record. |
