| The Blaine Bengals defeated the Lakeville North Panthers, 7-2, to advance to the Class AA semifinal round on Friday. At 6:03 in the second period, a potential goal was reviewed and not awarded to the Lakeville North team because of a man in the crease. This goal could have given the Panthers the lead, instead it was the turning point of the game as the Panthers couldn’t put a puck in the net after that. However, Blaine did find the net scoring five consecutive goals, including a goal by Bengal senior Matt Olson to give him a hat trick. Teammate junior Ben Lynch had two goals. With the win, Blaine’s undefeated streak is extended to 22 games. |
