The Prowlers of Thief River Falls/Goodridge bounced back after a tough loss last evening to shutout the Orono Spartans 2-0. Senior forward Robby Phillip got the first goal when he scored on Spartans goalie Taylor Peterson ninety seconds into a power play at 3:48 of the second period. Matt Nordhagen got the other Prowler tally when he scored an empty net goal with 56 remaining after Peterson had been pulled for the extra attacker. The Prowlers Cole Hunt stopped 15 shots and got the shutout victory. Orono appeared to have tied the game at 1-1 late in the third period but the goal was disallowed. The referee ruled the net had come off its moorings prior to the puck crossing the goal line
