| In the second sudden death overtime, the St. Thomas Academy (STA) Cadets salvaged an early game lead to defeat the Hermantown Hawks, 6-5, to advance to the Class A title game. At 3:29 of the second overtime, senior Jack Baer scored his second goal of the game to give the Cadets the victory. Cadets goalie, sophomore Aaron Crandall, had 37 saves in the game. Hermantown goalie, junior Nathan Hardy, let the puck in five times out of the first 10 shots of the game, but stopped every shot after that (17) until letting in the final shot of the game. With the win, STA will meet the Marshall School in the Class A title game on Saturday. |
