| Eagan’s Wildcats scored four times in the second period and it earned them a 4-3 victory over the Lakeville Panthers. Neither team ever led by more than a single goal. After a tight first period Lakeville led 1-0. But then red lights behind the goaltenders were lit with frequency as the two teams notched six goals in the second period. Derek Grogan and Tyler Christiansen led the Wildcats offensively. Christiansen scored twice and had an assist; Grogan had three assists and led Eagan in shots on goal with eight. Eagan outshot the Panthers 27-17 for the game. Lakeville was led by Andrew Kappers who had three points on two goals and an assist. It was the third meeting of the year between these suburban rivals. The Panthers won the first two games by scores of 4-1 and 2-0. |
