For more than two decades the Minnesota State High School League and its member schools have sponsored programs to recognize service, reward performance, and celebrate achievements. The awards encompass students, officials, members of the media, and individuals who have made outstanding contributions as administrators or fine arts directors.

The awards that honor students stress the importance of sportsmanship, academics, and being a good teammate. The Academics, Arts and Athletics Award is perhaps the best example of a student award. The Triple ‘A’ Award is given to a senior who has excelled in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the fine arts.

Students are recognized for their accomplishments in a variety of ways. Some are honored with banquets and on-court presentations at the basketball state tournaments, while others are celebrated via the League’s social media platforms and scoreboard presentations.

Awards honoring adults consider individual contributions over a lifetime or contributions in the fields of officiating or media. The League inducts a Hall of Fame class every other year and nominations are solicited in nine categories including athlete, coach, administrator, and contributor.

The League recognizes the importance of officials and charter/legacy official associations through three different awards and members of the media in both a print and electronic division.
