Updated results confirm additional Robotics state champion

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. --- FIRST in Upper Midwest, the presenting partner with the Minnesota State High School League in the annual Robotics State Tournament, has updated the results from the virtual competition on May 29 and has confirmed an additional state champion. Joining Team 5434, the Falcon Robotics from Faribault High School with a championship performance is Team 6749, the tERAbytes from Eagle Ridge Academy in Hopkins. Placing third was Team 3130, The ERRORs from Woodbury.

Following the tournament, the FUM Minnesota State Robotics Tournament Committee was alerted about a potential scoring discrepancy with the final results. After a thorough review, the committee determined there was a scoring oversight that affected the final rankings for the top two teams. The League was alerted by FUM officials of the scoring error and the two organizations worked to find a proper solution.

“The League congratulates both Faribault and Eagle Ridge for their outstanding performances during the tournament,” League Executive Director Erich Martens said. “The League also  appreciates the great work of FUM in creating, designing and managing this year’s unique competition. We are looking forward to returning to our typical in-person state tournament format as soon as next year!”
