The Minnesota State High School League's Board of Directors met on April 3, 2025.

As all Minnesotans know, spring can arrive slowly and in fits and starts, but it has never failed to arrive.

Shelly Foster, a graduate of Cass Lake High School, was recently inducted into the 2025 North American Indigenous Athletics Hall of Fame. Foster walked on the Stanford University Volleyball team in the spring of her sophomore year and played two season for the Cardinals as a libero.

2025 Boys Basketball All-Tournament Teams

Wayzata won its third Class AAAA boys basketball championship in the past five seasons with an 80-55 victory over Cretin-Derham Hall on Saturday, March 22 at Williams Arena.

No. 1 seed Albany shot 60 percent from the floor and outlasted No. 2 Waseca, 70-63, in the Boys Basketball State Tournament Class AA championship game Saturday night at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.

Alexandria completed a dynamic run through the Class AAA field with a 73-64 victory over Mankato East in the championship game on Saturday, March 22 at Williams Arena.

Dawson-Boyd outscored Cherry 17-4 during a pivotal part of the second half, taking a 69-61 lead it didn’t relinquish to claim its first state title, 81-74, in the Class A championship game of the Boys Basketball State Tournament on Saturday at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.

The 2025 Triple ‘A’ Award state scholarship recipients are Keagen Lowman, Cambridge-Isanti; Annika Pulju, Sebeka; Lulu Semakula, Irondale and Trevor Smith, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton.
