Board Member Amanda Kaus appointed to NFHS Board of Directors

Minnesota State High School League Board of Directors member Amanda Kaus was selected to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Federation of State High School Associations. The appointment was announced on Friday, July 1, 2022 during the NFHS Summer Meeting in San Antonio. Kaus will be an at-large board member and represent Sections 5 and 8 for the next three years.

 “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as an At-Large Representative on the NFHS Board of Directors, supporting the mission and beliefs of the organization and its member state associations,” Kaus said. “I look forward to making and strengthening connections with others who are also focused on providing and supporting high quality opportunities for our students.”

Kaus, a native of Browns Valley, Minn., has served the past three years on the League’s Board of Directors. She has one year remaining on her term. Kaus, the Director of Bands at Rochester Century High School, is the Minnesota Music Educators Association representative to the Board of Directors.

She has served at Century High School since 2012 and been in the Rochester Public School District since 2002.

In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, attending concerts and performing as a musician.
