1. Can you name the four St. Paul City Conference schools that played football in 1919?

Central, Humboldt, Johnson and Mechanic Arts. Mechanics Arts won the conference with a 3-0 record. The Trainers outscored the three conference opponents by a combined 93-0.

2. Who compiled the first official handbook of the Minnesota State High School Athletic Association?

Theodore Utne, Superintendent of Schools in Alexandria, in 1923. The 96-page book that was 6.5 inches high by 5 inches wide.

3. What Twin Cities-area conference is celebrating its 100th year?

The Lake Conference, in the western suburbs of Minneapolis, began in 1926. Excelsior was the first Lake Conference football champion.

 

4. Who holds the three-game state tournament record for most goals in the CI Division of the Adapted Soccer State Tournament?

Caden Roseth of Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville with 26. In that tournament he twice scored a single-game record of 11 goals. 

5. What was the penalty for the use of an ineligible player in 1932?

The penalty for playing an ineligible player resulted in a forfeiture of the game and a one-year suspension for that player.
