Official of the Year Nomination

The Minnesota State High School League Official of the Year is the MSHSL officiating program's highest honor, awarded annually to one official in each sport. The League is seeking nominees who have made significant contributions to MSHSL officiating and high school activities. 

An Official of the Year is an individual who has contributed to overall betterment of officiating at the high school level. They will be judged on their significant or long-term contributions to interscholastic officiating.

Among the factors that may be considered:

  • A longstanding and distinguished record of promoting officiating at the local and state level. 
  • • Recognition among colleagues for excellence.
  • • Sets the standard in humility and service to the officiating avocation.
  • • Leadership at the association or MSHSL level that places them among the best of the officiating program.

Note: This form requires a photo of the official upon submission.
