Top-seeded Lakeville South scored five unanswered goals in the third quarter and went on to claim its second championship with a 12-8 victory over Prior Lake in the Girls Lacrosse State Tournament.
The defending champions from Lakeville North fell to top-seeded Benilde-St. Margaret’s in the title game of this year’s Boys Lacrosse State Tournament.
Following semifinal action in four enrollment classes, the pairings are set for the four-game Prep Championship Series on Monday, June 17 at Target Field in downtown Minneapolis.

Day 1 of the Minnesota State High School League's Baseball State Tournament was held on Thursday, June 13 at four venues across Minnesota. With the completion of quarterfinals, semifinal matchups are now set for Friday, June 14.
Stuart Groskreutz, who has covered high school sports for nearly 30 years, recently received the MSHSL’s 2024 Outstanding Media Service Award. The Litchfield native was also honored with a citation award for meritorious service as he was inducted into the Minnesota Football Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame.
