Minnesota State High School League Board of Directors Meeting Synopsis, June 7, 2022

In its final meeting of the 2021-2022 school year, the Minnesota State High School League's Board of Directors continued its salute to Title IX pioneers and approved many winter advisory proposals.

The Minnesota State High School League's 2022 Softball State Tournament begins two days of action on Thursday, June 9 at Caswell Park in North Mankato.

“I thanked him for making my track seasons memorable. He said, ‘Let’s get connected and you can get officiating.’ I realized there aren’t many females and not many younger female officials."

The 2022 adapted softball state tournament was absolutely normal. And that was everything, since there was no adapted softball season at all in 2020 and a year ago teams played regular-season games but no postseason was conducted.

Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville completed its three-game season-ending surge with an 11-1 victory over New Prague in the CI Division championship game of the Minnesota State High School League’s Adapted Softball State Tournament on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Chanhassen High School. The Blazing Cats (11-0), the only undefeated team in the CI Division field defeated three opponents by a combined score of 41-6 en route to winning its second championship since 2019 and third overall.

Dakota United, a co-op of seven high schools in Dakota County, completed a season of dominance with a 19-6 victory over Anoka-Hennepin in the PI Championship game of the Adapted Softball State Tournament on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Chanhassen High School.

Five teams advanced to the semifinals of the Minnesota State High School League's Adapted Softball State Tournament on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Chanhassen High School.

The Minnesota State High School League's Boys Tennis State Tournament opens a four-day run next week at two traditional venues in South Minneapolis.

No matter what happens at the state softball tournament, mementoes and memories will be carried for years by everyone associated with the 2022 Wabasha-Kellogg softball team.
