2021 Class A Speech Results

Four gold medals awarded to Mounds Park Academy

Mounds Park Academy of St. Paul led all Class A schools with four gold medals. Paynesville Area and Cotter of Winona had two champions apiece.

The 2021 champions are: Damian Christian of Paynesville Area in Creative Expression; McCartney Knutson of New London-Spicer in Discussion; Isabelle Geiger and Tabitha Thatcher of Fairmont in Duo Interpretation; Emma Niebuhr of Minnesota Valley Lutheran of New Ulm in Extemporaneous Reading; Salmeh Elmasry of Mounds Park Academy in Extemporaneous Speaking; Aubrey Williams of Cotter in Great Speeches; Ryan Ghose of Mounds Park Academy in Humorous Interpretation; Grace Miller of Cotter in Informative Speaking; Delaney Ignace of Paynesville Area in Original Oratory; Reece Wright of Annandale in Serious Interpretation of Drama; Livia Wooldridge of Mounds Park Academy in Serious Interpretation of Poetry; Anna Gaudio of Mounds Park Academy in Serious Interpretation of Prose; and Zenessa Anderson of Rushford-Peterson in Storytelling.

Wright was the only Class A champion to earn a second overall medal this year. This was his second in Serious Interpretation of Drama.
