Adapted Bowling takes center stage this Friday

All three 2021 team champions and five individual champions return to Bowlero in Brooklyn Park on Friday, May 13, for the 2022 Adapted Bowling State Tournament. The tournament is free and open to the public. The award ceremonies for Singles, Doubles and Team will be streamed live by School Space Media, the League’s streaming partner. There is no charge to view the stream. Find the stream at www.prepspotlight.tv.

ASD Division Highlights

The Tartan Titans are looking to defend their 2021 team title. Senior Christopher Conoryea and junior Vince Hickenbottom competed on the 2021 team and will be joined by freshmen Damarian Griffin and Jackson Meulemans this year. Senior Ashlynn Cameron of Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton and senior Nick Hoefener of St. Michael-Albertville also return with hopes of a repeat championship. Cameron won the girls singles crown last year and Hoefener captured the top spot in doubles with Brock Apold. Hoefener is teamed with senior Greta Topel this year.

CI Division Highlights

Alexandria Area returns with hopes of repeating in the CI team event. Sophomores Logan Usher and Zechariah Davidson, members of the 2021 team, will team with eighth-graders Hannah Johnson and Kassidy Lee this year. Junior Ella Charette of Anoka-Hennepin is the only returning singles champion. She took top honors in doubles with Ella Tanem last year and will partner with junior Alondra Ollig this year.

PI Division Highlights

North High-St. Paul returns as champions in both the PI doubles and team events. Sophomore Lucas Eide won in doubles with Kathleen Hubert last year and will team up with sophomore Victoria Kulstad this year. Eide and senior Isaiah Bendorf were also members of the 2021 championship team and will compete again this year. Kulstad and freshman Tashayanna Collins complete this year’s Polars’ squad. Austin junior Lupita Carrion is the final returning champion; she took top honors in girls singles in 2021.
