The state’s best adapted floor hockey teams are set to take over Bloomington Jefferson High School for the Minnesota State High School League’s state tournament on March 17-18. Both a CI and PI team champion will be crowned on Saturday afternoon.

Both teams that won in 2022 are looking to defend their titles: New Prague/TCU/LSH/Belle Plaine/Jordan in CI and Dakota United in PI.

Here is a snapshot of the 2023 Adapted Floor Hockey State Tournament that will be played this weekend:

  • The Trojans’ closest game came on Jan. 25 when they defeated Dakota United 7-2. Dakota United (6-2) is the No. 3 seed in the South Division this year.

PI Division

  • Dakota United (8-1) returns with hopes of claiming its second consecutive PI title. If the Hawks win, it would be their sixth championship overall.
  • Dakota United reeled off three consecutive championships from 2004-2006.
  • The Hawks are the No. 1 seed in the South Division this year; Brainerd (8-0) is the top seed in the North Division.
