Dance Team: 2024 Advance Release

Scores of the state’s best dancers will take to the floor of Target Center during the 2024 Dance Team State Tournament on February 16-17. The Jazz competition will take place on Friday, followed by the High Kick event on Saturday.

Here is a snapshot of the tournament:

• Eastview (Class AAA) returns as the four-time defending champion in High Kick. The Lightning Dance Team also won in Jazz three of the past four years. They fell to Maple Grove in 2023.
• The St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaderettes (Class A) return as the two-time defending champions in both Jazz and High Kick.
• In Class AA, Orono (Jazz) and Mound Westonka (High Kick) look to build on their respective 2023 championships.
• Eastview is looking for its 16th overall title in High Kick and Maple Grove is chasing its eighth in Jazz.
