Dance Team State Tournament, 2023: St. Cloud Cathedral defends Class A Jazz title

St. Cloud Cathedral (Class A) was the only school to successfully defend its 2022 title in the Jazz Division. This marked the second consecutive title for the Crusaderettes. Orono won in Class AA and Maple Grove emerged as the champion in Class AAA.
St. Cloud Cathedral earned its second consecutive Jazz title and third overall. Lac qui Parle/Dawson-Boyd placed second and Yellow Medicine East was third.
Orono improved on last year’s runner-up showing to win its first Jazz crown. The defending champions from Benilde-St. Margaret’s placed second and Mound Westonka followed in third.
Maple Grove claimed its seventh title, but first since 2015. The Crimson, who placed second in 2022, won their previous championships in 2004, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2013 and 2015. Wayzata placed second this year and the three-time defending champions from Eastview took third.
