Dance Team State Tournament: High Kick Recap

Holdingford (Class A) was the only team to win its first title in the High Kick division of the 2024 Dance Team State Tournament. Totino-Grace won in Class AA and Brainerd claimed the top spot in Class AAA.

Holdingford won its first High Kick championship in Class A. Yellow Medicine East was second and Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd placed third.

In Class AA, Totino-Grace won its sixth High Kick title, but first since 2016. The E’gals also won in 1995, 1996, 2000 and 2014. Austin finished in second place and Benilde-St. Margaret’s followed in third.

Brainerd last won titles in 1999 and 1993. 1999's title was in High Kick-Precision and 1993 was the year when Jazz/Funk and High Kick were first divided into separate divisions. Wayzata placed second this year and the four-time defending champions from Eastview were third.
