Posted: Monday, May 2, 2022 - 11:48 AM

Robots and their student-human counterparts will take to the floor at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis on Saturday, May 7 for the Minnesota State High School League’s 2022 Robotics State Tournament. The event begins with qualifying rounds at 8:30 a.m., and concludes with an awards ceremony at approximately 5:15 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Both of the 2021 co-champions, Faribault and Eagle Ridge Academy, return with a hope of a repeat championship. East Ridge, third in 2021, also returns.

This year’s competition is RAPID REACTSM presented by The Boeing Company. In the event, teams must use innovative engineering, creative thinking, and teamwork to reimagine the future of safe, high-speed travel, and lightning-fast deliveries to propel the next evolution of transportation forward – in this world and beyond.
