Jim Galvin, long-time coach, teacher and community member, has been honored by White Bear Lake Area Schools for his decades of service to the school community. The White Bear Lake Area School Board voted at its March 4, 2024 meeting to name the fully renovated White Bear Lake Area High School gymnasium “Galvin Court.”

Bryce Tesdahl is a grandson of the late Bob McDonald, the Chisholm icon who won more boys basketball games that any coach in Minnesota.

Minnetonka broke a long losing streak to Wayzata and picked an opportune time to flip the script in a 72-61 victory over the Trojans in the Class AAAA championship game on Saturday, March 23 at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.

Top-seeded Totino-Grace recorded a 73-64 victory over No. 2 Mankato East in the Class AAA championship game on Saturday, March 23 at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus. It is the third consecutive Class AAA crown for the Eagles.

Top-seeded Breck captured the first boys basketball championship in school history with a 76-72 victory over Lake City in the Class AA championship game on Saturday, March 23 at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.

The Henning Hornets, making their first trip to state in 53 years, won the 2019 championship while keeping a special teammate with them the whole way.

Cherry High School captured the Class A Boys Basketball State Championship with a victory over Fertile-Beltrami in the title game on Saturday, March 23 at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus. Cherry is the first Iron Range school since 1991 to win a boys basketball state crown.

Championship Saturday is now set after top-seeded Breck and No. 3 Lake City recorded victories in the Class AA semifinals of the Minnesota State High School League's Boys Basketball State Tournament on Friday, March 22 at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.
