Aidan does a great job inspiring the team by example and through his words. He reminds each team member that their event matters on meet days and everyone contributes to the team. Aidan has a clear desire to leave the team in better shape than when he joined by fostering a cohesive team environment and inspiring others to have the outstanding work ethic he does.


Most Valuable Teammate Week 8
Gabby has been our captain for three seasons and our leader on and off the field. She is incredibly positive in what she says, what she does, and even with her body language. She works with younger players to improve their skills and work ethic both on the field and in the classroom. She is respectful of her teammates, opposing players, coaches and referees. She embodies the very definition of an MVT.


Most Valuable Teammate Week 7
Nay San Soe is a perfect example of a great teammate, as he spends all his time ad energy making sure that the players on his team stay upbeat. He keeps things light with constant humor and energy. Becoming goalie when no one else wanted to, Nay San stepped up as both a leader and teammate by showing that he was willing to do whatever it took to win. He shows us what a real teammate looks like.


Most Valuable Teammate Week 6
Tre is the epitome of a team player. Some suggested he forgo his senior football season to prepare for a basketball career at Michigan State, but Tre chose to play football. Tre is a great varsity teammate and he also can be found at ninth grade and JV football games after his varsity practices as well as showing school spirit and supporting the girls volleyball or soccer teams. He is the perfect MVT.


Most Valuable Teammate Week 5
Mason is a two-year team captain who continues to lead on and off the field. He can be seen volunteering at school events and has made East High School a better place with his infectious energy and school spirit. Mason has taken challenges head-on with courage and has inspired us all to be better Greyhounds.

Aili Toyli
– Junior
Before the season began, Aili put together a group chat for all players and coaches, on which she communicates regularly with the team. She works together with others to plan team bonding events and practices. Before school one day, with no prompting, she cleared the courts of rain puddles so the team could practice. She is always eager to learn, improve and encourage. Her hardworking example and humble demeanor make her a fantastic role model.

Though Jacob, a team captain, might not be making the flashy plays on a weekly basis, he is a star leader and role model every day at practice. Jacob, who worked tremendously hard in the offseason, not only understands his role but plays a tremendously important role. Jacob is always positive and constantly picking up his teammates around him. His upbeat personality is contagious, and as a result he makes us better as a team every day.

Terrik has never played on a winning team at any level but has always been a team player. He never complains or gets upset at anything other than lack of effort. Terrik is a great teammate and infects others with his uncommon work ethic. He is a farmer and the fourth in his family to play football at W-K. He is the ultimate teammate.


Most Valuable Teammate Week 1
Hannah exemplifies everything a good teammate should be. She comes early to practice and stays late to put equipment away. She is coachable and always strives to make herself and her teammates better. She is a leader as one of our captains, an excellent communicator and an exemplary liaison between the players and coaches. Everyone trusts and enjoys Hannah. She is the light of our team.
