Jessica Chipman has been named a recipient of the Outstanding Theater Educator Award by the National Federation of State High School Associations.

In its debut appearance at the Minnesota State High School League’s Girls Hockey State Tournament, Dodge County, the No. 3 seed, played like a tested tourney veteran as it charted a 4-0 win over Fergus Falls at the Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday, Feb. 21 in quarterfinals play.

In its third consecutive appearance in the Minnesota State High School League’s Class A, Orono High School took its first step toward a return to a championship berth with a 4-1 victory over Willmar in the first quarterfinal of the 2024 Girls Hockey State Tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Sixteen Girls Hockey teams skate onto center stage this week for the Minnesota State High School League’s annual state tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The Class A quarterfinals open the four-day tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 21 followed by Class AA on Thursday, Feb. 22.

The 2024 Gymnastics State Meet is scheduled for February 23-24 at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul. Teams will compete on Friday and the individual competition will take place on Saturday.

Scott Larson will be honored for his decades of continued leadership as one of three inductees in the Administrators category in the League's Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

2024 Dance Team All-Tournament Teams

Holdingford (Class A) was the only team to win its first title in the High Kick division of the 2024 Dance Team State Tournament. Totino-Grace won in Class AA and Brainerd claimed the top spot in Class AAA.

St. Cloud Cathedral (Class A) was the only school to successfully defend its 2023 title in the Jazz Division. This marked the third consecutive title for the Crusaderettes. Benilde-St. Margaret’s won in Class AA and Wayzata emerged as the champion in Class AAA.
