2024 Girls Hockey All-Tournament Teams

Life as the No. 4 seed proved to be an enviable position during the Minnesota State High School League’s Girls Hockey State Tournament that just concluded. A mere three hours after Warroad completed a three-peat of Class A championships as the No. 4 seed, Edina did the same with a 2-0 victory over No. 2 Hill-Murray in a riveting Class AA title game on Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Two new all-around champions emerged at the 2024 Girls Gymnastics State Meet. Junior Dakota Esget of North Branch Area won in Class A and senior Jackie Bergeron of St. Michael-Albertville took top honors in Class AA.

Roseau’s Samantha Peterson has left her mark on the northern Minnesota community. After all, she participates in three varsity sports, school leadership programs and numerous avenues of volunteerism that better the community and the individuals she serves.

Warroad and Dodge County, on the opposite ends of the girls hockey state tournament spectrum in terms of history, have each had storybook seasons.

A top five finalist for this year’s Jori Jones Award, which honors the state’s top senior girls high school goaltender, Hill-Murray’s Grace Zahn lived up to the accolades as she backstopped the Pioneers to a 3-1 victory over Andover in the MSHSL Class AA semifinals on Friday, Feb. 23 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
