The top three teams in the Class AA Boys Track and Field State Championship finished within two and a half points of each other. Waseca scored 39 points to claim the championship; their score topped Worthington/s 38 and Stewartville’s 36.5.  

In the girls competition, Monticello scored 64 points to earn the championship while Rocori scored 62 and Mankato East had 57.5.

Edgerton/SW MN Christian became the second No. 5 seed of the League's Softball State Tournament to leave with a championship following a 10-5 victory over Badger/Greenbush-Middle River

Hutchinson junior Isabelle Schmitz was the Class AA runner-up in the fall during the Minnesota State High School League’s Cross Country State Meet. With the waning days of her junior year, she climbed the next step on the awards podium with a championship in the 3,200-meter race on Friday, June 9 during the Class AA portion of the League’s Track and Field State Meet at St. Michael-Albertville High School.

Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton won the Class AA softball championship for the first time in eight state tournament trips behind a 3-1 victory over St. Charles at Caswell Park in North Mankato.

Mankato East captured the Class AAA championship with an 11-0 victory over Chisago Lakes on Friday, June 9 at Caswell Park in North Mankato.

Nevis senior Jade Rypkema is in good company. The last Class 1A girl to win three state titles in the 1,600 meters was 2004 Olympian Carrie Tollefson in 1991, 1993 and 1994.

Rosemount completed a season of perfection in winning the Class AAAA softball championship with a 6-1 victory over Forest Lake on Friday, June 9 at Caswell Park in North Mankato.

Day 1 of the three-day Minnesota State High School League Track and Field State Meet was Thursday, June 8 at St. Michael-Albertville High School.

Day 1 of the Minnesota State High School League's Softball State Tournament at Caswell Park in North Mankato featured 32 games in four enrollment classes played over 14 hours. Day 2 on Friday will feature Championship games, as well as contests for third-place and consolation trophies.
