The ExCEL Award – Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership honors high school juniors who are active in school activities, leaders in their schools, and who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service

Sixteen productions will take to the stage during the 2023 One Act Play State Festival on February  9-10. The festival will be held at the O’Shaughnessy on the University of St. Catherine campus in St. Paul.

When DeLaSalle High School was looking for a new head boys basketball coach before this season began, Islanders senior Nasir Whitlock knew whom he wanted to see get the job. He hoped longtime assistant coach Todd Anderson would be promoted.

While the Champlin Park/Coon Rapids Bluebirds took on Roseville/Mahtomedi on the ice, they were unified in a common goal off the ice: raising awareness for mental health issues among youth athletes.

The Minnesota high school basketball world will be ready to go next season, when 35-second shot clocks become mandatory for all girls and boys varsity games. This season, many teams are playing with shot clocks when they have the opportunity.
