Boys Golf State Tournament Advance Release

Boys Golf State Tournament set to tee off at three sites next week

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. --- Twenty-four teams and hundreds of individuals in three classifications will compete in the 2021 Minnesota State High School League’s Boys Golf State Tournaments at three sites on June 15 and 16. Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker is the host site for the Class A tournament; the Class AA tournament is at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, and the Class AAA event is at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids.

This will be the first state tournament held after a one-season hiatus when no events were held last spring during the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Did you know?

·       Bemidji holds the state record with 25 appearances in the state tournament.

·       Bemidji and Wayzata hold the state mark for championships with seven each.

·       Minneapolis Roosevelt’s Charles Stenvig, the 1945 individual champion, would later become a three-term mayor of Minneapolis.
