Boys Lacrosse Third-Place - Lakeville North 10, Stillwater Area 9

Stillwater Area, the No. 4 seed, scored three goals in less than five minutes to go up 3-0 over unseeded Lakeville North (13-6) in the third-place game. But the Panthers battled back and tied the score at four goals apiece at the end of the first quarter. From there, it was the second and third quarters that made the difference as Lakeville North outscored the Ponies 5-2. The final score was 10-9 in favor of the Panthers.

Lakeville North senior attacker Tyler Winship led all scorers with seven goals. Three players added one goal apiece for the Panthers: sophomore attacker Austin Winship, senior midfielder Nick Getchman and sophomore attacker Leo Piscitiello. AJ Preachuk, Lakeville North’s senior goalie had 13 saves in the victory.

Sophomore Tomas Anderson was the top point-scorer for Stillwater Area (15-4). He finished the game with three points on two goals and one assist. Juniors Tommy Lindberg and Aidan Anderson also tallied two goals apiece for the Ponies.
