Girls Lacrosse 2025: Prior Lake and Stillwater Area advance to title game

Top-seeded Prior Lake and No. 3 Stillwater Area will square off in the title game of the Girls Lacrosse State Tournament this Saturday. The game begins at 3:30 p.m. at Eden Prairie High School.
This will be the second time these teams have met this season. Undefeated Prior Lake won the first game 11-6.
Championship Semifinals
Stillwater Area posted a narrow 11-10 victory over Park in the first championship semifinal. Junior Grace Reinke finished the game with four goals and four assists for the Ponies. Senior Rayna Malmberg added four goals and two assists.
Junior Madison Brinkman paced Park’s offense with five goals. Senior Josephine Leonard added a team-high four assists.
In a rematch of last year’s championship game, Prior Lake defeated Lakeville South 20-11 in the second championship semifinal. The score of the 2024 title game was 12-8 in the South’s favor.
Prior Lake senior Abigail Grove led all scorers with six goals. Senior Emerson Mattox was the top point-scorer for the Lakers; she finished the game with three goals and five assists.
Seniors Ella Mills and Charlotte Fannin were the top scorers for Lakeville South. They tallied four goals and three goals, respectively.
Consolation Semifinals
Maple Grove notched a 15-3 victory over Elk River/Zimmerman in the first consolation semifinal. Senior Sosi Van Wyk paced the Crimson with three goals and four assists. Juniors Lillian Iverson and Ryley Dunn added four goals apiece.
Sophomore Riley Teele provided the majority of Orono’s offense as the Spartans moved past Chisago Lakes 15-11. Teele tallied seven goals and three assists in the victory. Sophomore Layla Nick and junior Dylan Collins also made big contributions for Orono; they tallied three goals apiece.
