Girls Lacrosse Quarterfinal - Lakeville South 10, Hill-Murray 7

After leading 6-4 at halftime, the Lakeville South Cougars hung on to defeat Hill-Murray 10-7. Hill-Murray attacker Lorelai VanGuilder pulled the Irish within 7-6 at 8:17 of the second half, but two quick goals from Lakeville South junior attacker Lauren Sheets and sophomore midfielder Theresa Soltys put the game out of reach for the Pioneers.

Sheets and junior attacker Brielle Fannin finished the game with three points apiece for Lakeville South. Sheets, Fannin and sophomore midfielder Emily Moes all struck for two goals apiece.

VanGuilder had a team-high four goals for Hill-Murray. Senior attacker Emily Senkowski, freshman midfielder Olivia Godbout and junior attacker Delaney McGrath accounted for the remainder of the Pioneers’ goals.
