Greenbush-Middle River, Becker and Edina form championship alliance in Robotics

The teams from Greenbush-Middle River, Becker and Edina formed this year’s winning alliance at the 2022 Robotics State Tournament. That alliance defeated the teams from Breck School, Irondale and Rocori 96-93 in the first finals match and 136-112 in the second.

This was the third title for the Greenbush-Middle River Gators; they won previously in 2016 and 2018. The Becker CIS went home with their second championship, having earned their first in 2013. This was the first title for the Edina Green Machine

The alliance of St. Paul Highland Park, Pequot Lakes and Great River/Avalon claimed third place honors this year.

This year’s competition was RAPID REACTSM presented by The Boeing Company. In the event, teams used innovative engineering, creative thinking, and teamwork to reimagine the future of safe, high-speed travel, and lightning-fast deliveries to propel the next evolution of transportation forward – in this world and beyond.
