Fertile-Beltrami and Sleepy Eye United are tied at 321 after the first day of play in Class A. Legacy Christian Academy is third at 323.

Rylin Petry, a junior at Fertile-Beltrami, leads the Class A individual field with a 2-under-par 70. Five competitors are currently tied for second place: Community Christian senior Brett Reid, Sleepy Eye United sophomore Carson Erickson, New Life Academy of Woodbury sophomore Cole Witherow, United South Central freshman Kadyn Neubauer and Legacy Christian Academy senior Trent Harrison.

In Class AA, Cloquet (300) holds a five-stroke advantage over Totino-Grace (305). Delano could make things interesting on the second day, coming in at 308.

Cloquet senior Sam Baker had an outstanding first day, shooting a 4-under-par 68. Staples-Motley senior Beck Erholtz is second at 71 and Blue Earth Area senior Braden Gudahl and Pie Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa sophomore Joseph Scripture are currently tied for third at 73.

The top three teams in Class AAA are within four points after one day of play. Edina leads at 298, followed by Maple Grove  at 301 and Eastview at 302.

Two Class AAA individuals, Edina junior Jack Wetzel and Northfield junior Nate Stevens, finished the first round with 4-under-par scores of 68. Moorhead sophomore Joe Kortan was next at 69. Four players are currently tied for third place with a score of 70: Buffalo sophomore Arthur Ylitalo, Moorhead senior Ian Simonich, Maple Grove senior Josh Galvin and Farmington sophomore Kyler Schwamb.
